- From your Ubuntu terminal, type java -version into the terminal.
Result: The version of Java is displayed. - If you are are running Java 1.7.0 or higher, you can move to the next prerequisite task.
- If you are not running Java 1.7.0 or higher, install and update to Java 1.7.0 or higher directly in your Ubuntu instance.
