Update a User’s Alterego Preferences
User’s can use alteregos to remain logged into AnswerHub,
but perform certain site activities under an alias (alterego).
To update a user’s alterego preferences, follow these steps:

- Locate and click on the user’s username from
anywhere on your AnswerHub site.
Result: The User Profile screen is displayed.
- Click the Edit

) button.
Result: The User – Preferences UI is displayed with the Details tab pre-selected.
- Select the Alteregos
tab.
Result: The Alteregos tab is displayed.
- Select the checkbox for yourself or user for the
following alterego options:
- Asking as
- Posting as
- Answering as
- Commenting
as
Optional: If you selected the user checkbox, begin typing the name of the alterego for the user to use for the selected action in the field and select it from the drop-down menu as it is displayed.
- For the Editing
as
option, select one of the following checkboxes:
- yourself
- original author
- same as ask/answer/comment ego
- user
Optional: If you selected the user checkbox, begin typing the name of the alterego for the user to use for the selected action in the field and select it from the drop-down menu as it is displayed.
- Click the
Save Settings (
) button.
Result: A yellow bar that reads Preferences for your alteregos successfully saved. is displayed at the top of the User – Preferences UI.
