Enable or Disable REST API

The REST API Status box is used to configure whether your site’s REST API is activated or not. Many actions in AnswerHub can be performed through the use of the REST API. However, the REST API status must be set to Enabled and the Use API permission must be granted in order for the API requests to return results.

To enable or disable REST API, follow these steps:

From the Site tab of the Administrator Dashboard, select Summary from the Navigation sidebar.

Result: The Site Summary pane is displayed.
To enable REST API, click the Enabled () button.

Result: A green bar that reads You have enabled the REST API. The USE API role is required to have access to the API. is displayed at the top of the Site Summary pane, and the Enabled
() button is displayed as blue.
To disable REST API, click the Disabled () button.

Result: A yellow bar that reads You have disabled the REST api. is displayed at the top of the Site Summary pane, and the Disabled () button is displayed as blue.
